TUNDRA Reviewed by Robert Parker, Wine Advocate # 184 (Aug 2009): RATING - 88
"The 2007 Tundra (88% Petite Sirah, 7% Zinfandel, and 5% Tempranillo) is surprisingly elegant with unusually soft tannins for a Petite Sirah. It possesses so much fruit that the wine’s structure is hidden at this stage of its evolution. Abundant blue and black fruits along with hints of violets, pepper, and incense emerge from this tasty, pure, lively red."
Dark and Mysterious. A vast expanse where one may journey towards a domain with no beginning nor end. What wonderment will you expose, or enigma will you uncover?
The 2007 Petite Syrah portrays itself bold and powerful in color, but will dazzle the palate with layers of fruit and spice exposing its elegance. With a definite wild cherry foremouth followed by a spiced vanilla center, this wine will give any petite fan more than they bargained for. Ageable, but truly dynamic in its youth.
