2010 Southpaw

The 2010 Southpaw is delicious. It is a blend of Windrock Vineyard Roussanne and Marsanne, and Viognier with Grenache Blanc from Catherine's Vineyard.

The two acre Windrock Vineyard is set atop the ridge of the Santa Lucia Mountains west of Paso Robles, Windrock's cool climate and rugged soil produce a wine of depth and elegance.
Catherine's warm climate on the east side of Paso Robles produces Grenache Blanc with characteristics of apple, grapefruit and a bright acidity that blends well with the full body varietals from Windrock Vineyard.
This wine underwent alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in tank and barrel and was blended and aged before bottling. It even spent a month in our new cement tank which gave it an element of minerality.
Please enjoy this wine chilled during the warmer months. Due to its complex flavor profile, it pairs well with many salads, appetizers and pastas.
